By the end of 2019, Work Garant began to receive very often questions: “What will be the rate / hour for Ukrainian workers in Poland in 2020?” We suggest in this article to deal with this issue.
The number of working Ukrainians in Poland is increasing every year. Of course, our citizens are attracted by the level of wages in Poland, which is much higher than in Ukraine. The Polish minimum wage is equal to the salary of a specialist in Ukraine. And if we also take into account that the salary in Poland is growing decently every year and the number of vacancies for foreigners is increasing, the Polish labor market does not lose its attractiveness for Ukrainians.
Starting in 2020, the minimum wage in Poland will increase significantly.
In the first half of 2019, the Polish Ministry of Labor announced that since 2020 the minimum wage in Poland will be 2450 zlotys.
However, this decision was revised and the government approved the minimum wage for 2020 at the level of 2,600 zł gross, which is significantly higher than previously announced.
It turns out that starting from January 2020, the minimum wage in Poland will increase compared to the minimum wage in 2019 by 350 zł, which is 15.6%.
Accordingly, the payment for an hour of work will also increase, which in 2020 will be at least 17 zlotys gross / hour, but the question remains “how much will we get clean on our hands?” We answer: it will be 12.85 PLN / hour net.
In addition, there was another good news. The Polish government announced plans to raise the minimum wage to 3,000 gross by the end of 2020.
In parallel with the growth of the minimum wage, the average wage in Poland is also growing. The Main Department of Statistics of Poland summed up the results of last year and provided the following information about the average monthly salary of 2018.
According to published data, you can see a clear growth dynamics of the average salary:
I quarter. 2018 - PLN 4 731.35 (1092 euros)
II quarter 2018 - PLN 4,817.18 (1112 euros)
III quarter 2018 - PLN 4 891.11 (1129 euros)
IV quarter 2018 - PLN 4 969.98 (1147 euros)
We also want to note a significant increase in the salaries of such specialists as welders, metalworkers, electricians, as well as skilled builders and truckers. If on average in 2018 their salaries reached 1,000 euros, then by the end of 2019, the average salary of these specialists varies between 1,500-2,000 euros.
