Pro-EU Protests in Georgia

Since November 28, 2024, thousands of Georgians have been protesting in Tbilisi, demanding the continuation of EU membership talks. The protests erupted after Kobakhidze announced the suspension of membership talks until 2028.

   • On December 20, 2024, the European Commission proposed a partial suspension of the EU-Georgia visa-free travel agreement.
