

Prague Airport to Offer Direct Flights to 152 Destinations This Summer
According to the same source, the new flights bring the number of flights from Prague Airport to a total of 152 destinations around the world via 65 different carriers. Amongst others, Gdansk, Skiathos, Bilbao and Rimini are also included, AtoZSerwisPlus.com reports.
Chairman of the Board of Directors at Václav Havel Airport Ji?í Pos has revealed that during the 2023 summer season, Prague Airport will reach around 80 per cent of its 2019 record offer.
“Compared to last summer season, we will offer passengers more connections, despite the fact that there are still no destinations served in Ukraine and Russia. For comparison, in the record year of 2019, there were flights from Prague to 190 destinations,” he pointed out in this regard.
This year there will be an increase in the number of frequencies in nearly 40 lines compared to last summer, including five more popular cities such as London, Amsterdam, Paris, Antalya and Frankfurt. At the same time, passengers will be offered a greater number of direct connections to destinations such as Riga, Chisinau, Dublin, Málaga, Athens, Barcelona, ??Warsaw and Rhodes as well.
In addition, from March 27, Korean Air has resumed its route to Seoul and South Korea, while from July 18, China Airlines will connect Prague with Taiwan.
Next month, the Prague Airport network will reappear in direct connection with the United States, managed by Delta Air Lines from JFK Airport in New York, which will operate until the end of September of this year.
At the beginning of June, Icelandair will also debut, thus connecting the Czech capital with Reykjavík four times a week. This new connection is especially important for travellers heading to the United States, as Reykjavik offers connections to 14 destinations across the states.
Other new destinations travellers can visit through Prague’s Václav Havel Airport this summer are also popular vacation spots such as Bilbao and Seville in Spain, Dubrovnik in Croatia, Skiathos in Greece, the Armenian capital of Yerevan, Gdansk in Poland and the city of Muscat in Oman.
According to the Director of Aviation Business of Prague Airport, Jaroslav Filip, this summer season is expected to be strong and with positive results, which means that the airport can manage around 13 million passengers this year, and there is a greater demand for foreign tourism compared to the last three years.
Recently, the Lithuanian Airport has also started its air summer season, thus offering more than 80 direct lines for passengers flying from Lithuanian airports. In addition, passengers will be offered more than eighty direct flight lines and, at the same time, charter flights.
