Polish passport is what you need! Ranked in TOP 20 globally
It may make a difference which passport you carry in your purse! Every year Henley & Partners publish their Passport Index, where experts assess the most “valuable” passports across the world. What is meant by that and why owning the Polish one is so beneficial to you?
It is not the question of design or how many passports you have… Their usefulness is graded in a different way. The annual report by Henley & Partners measures the number of countries holders of various passports can travel to without the necessity of getting a visa. Visa-free travels are the main criterion for assessing whether it is actually worthwhile to own or obtain a passport from a particular country. How did Poland rank in this year’s ranking?
Poland’s position remains unchanged in comparison to the previous year – Polish passport is ranked as number 14 and makes it to the global TOP 20 every year. The reason is simple, as having Polish travel documents allows their owners to travel to 163 countries visa-free. Still, there is a long road ahead to the top countries on the list, e.g. Germany (visa-free access to 177 countries) or Singapore (visa-free access to 176 countries).
As you can see, even when considering relocation to the EU, passport value varies between different states. In Poland, the dispute over the controversy of visas for Polish citizens travelling to the USA is ongoing. Despite many attempts and promises from both sides, the restriction has not been lifted under consecutive administrations and Poles still need to apply for a visa in order to access America. If you are thinking about travelling to the USA a lot, Polish passport may not be the most convenient travel document to have. Apart from that, it is one of the best you can get!
