10 Mongolian Students Awarded With Erasmus+ Scholarship to Do Their Master’s in EU
Through a press release, the Delegation of the EU to Mongolia has emphasized that these ten students will have the opportunity to start a master’s program of up to two years in at least two different European universities, earning a master’s degree at the end of their program, AtoZSerwisPlus.com reports.
In this regard, the Ambassador of the EU in Mongolia, Axelle Nicaise, welcomed the awardees in a meeting, wishing them a rich experience and success in their future studies.
“It is great to see many young people striving to study in Europe. The Erasmus+ programme provides a unique opportunity to experience Europe and grow both academically and professionally at top-quality universities. For the 2021-2027 period, the Erasmus+ programme has nearly doubled in available funding. We will therefore make every effort to ensure that many more young Mongolians know that these opportunities exist for them,” Ambassador Ms Axelle Nicaise noted.
As the delegation explains, moving from one place to another to study is what many current and future students are looking for. Thus, what makes the Erasmus+ experience unique is that it offers exactly this opportunity.
The EU delegation also noted that students have the opportunity to experience the rich diversity of countries, many cultures, traditions and academics in Europe.
According to the authority, between 2014 and 2020 in Mongolia, more than 160 people benefited from this program.
“Apart from master’s scholarships, the Erasmus+ programme offers a multitude of opportunities for people of all ages: bachelor students, academics, researchers, and more, helping them develop and share knowledge and experiences at institutions and organizations across all the countries that make up the European Union,” the statement reads.
The year 2022 marked the 35th anniversary of Erasmus+, the EU’s flagship education, training, youth and sports program. Since 2020, Erasmus+ has supported almost 640,000 people in studies, internships or voluntary work abroad, and it has also funded about 126,900 organizations and about 20,400 projects.
Moreover, some 66 Russian students have received Erasmus Mundus Joint Master (EMJM) scholarships within the Erasmus+ Program to continue their studies this year. The Delegation of the EU to the Russian Federation revealed that the fully funded scholarship also covers the recipient’s tuition fee, travel costs and living allowance.
