

Romania Complains of Bangladeshi Nationals Misusing Their Visa
During a meeting with the President of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries, Jashim Uddin, the Ambassador of Romania, Daniela Sezonov Tane, said that visitors from Bangladesh holding Romanian visas “disappear” once they reach the country.
According to the Ambassador, in most cases, Bangladeshi nationals holding a Romanian visa move to other European Union countries that allow entry with a Romanian visa once they reach Romania. Thus, the Ambassador has called for strict rules to put an end to this phenomenon, AtoZSerwisPlus.com reports.
Expressing her discontent, the Romanian Ambassador further told FBCCI President that since its visa is being misused, the government is suffering financial losses as it has to pay the agencies for the services they provide.
In addition to the above-mentioned, the Romanian Ambassador called for manpower export from Bangladesh to Romania.
Responding to the Ambassador, Uddin said that the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries is looking forward to new opportunities that would allow the country to increase the export of manpower.
Moreover, Uddin emphasised that the country is also looking forward to increasing the export of plastic, leather, textile, and pharmaceutic products, among others.
At the same time, Uddin pointed out that job opportunities with good salaries must be ensured in order for the country to carry on with its export of manpower.
Uddin did not leave out the potential that the IT sector of Bangladesh and stressed that if they are provided with good conditions the companies would benefit from them too.
Since Bangladesh has not reached a visa-free travel agreement with the EU, all of its nationals are required to obtain a visa before reaching the bloc.

A Schengen visa gives the right to all of its holders to travel to the European Union Member States for stays of up to 90 days within a period of 180 days.
Nationals of Bangladesh planning to reach the EU for travel purposes must apply for a visitor visa. When applying for this type of visa, Bangladeshi nationals must submit the completed application form, their Bangladeshi passport, two photos, civil status certificate, proof of accommodation, a roundtrip itinerary reservation, travel health insurance, and proof of enough financial means, among others.
Depending on the employment status, nationals of Bangladesh applying for a Schengen visa are required to submit additional documents too.
