

These 36 Countries Still Require Germans and Spaniards to Obtain a Visa to Enter Their Territory
Such ranking made through the recent report published by Henley Passport Index, taking into account the data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), revealed that both countries occupy the third place in this index, AtoZSerwisPlus.com reports.
Both countries’ passports have a visa-free and visa-on-arrival score of 190, meaning that holders of these countries’ passports can travel to a total of 190 destinations visa-free.
Previously, Germany was ranked in the second position on Henley Passport Index, but now it has been moved to the third one, sharing the third place with Spain.
Despite the fact that Germany and Spain have a visa-free and visa-on-arrival score of 190, a visa is required in order to access the following 36 destinations.
Oceania: Nauru
Middle East: Syria, Yemen
Europe: Azerbaijan, Russia
Caribbean: Cuba
Asia: Afghanistan, China, Japan, Turkmenistan, Bhutan, India, North Korea,
Americans: Suriname
Africa: Algeria, Angola, Benin, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Republic of Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Liberia, Libya, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, South Sudan, Sudan.
The recent changes made in the Henley Passport Index reveal that Japan continues to be placed in the first position, while its passports permit their holders to travel to a total of 193 destinations without a visa at first.
At the same time, the second position is occupied by two non-European countries; Singapore and South Korea. Passports of both countries have a visa-free and visa-on-arrival score of 192.
However, European countries continue to be ranked in the first position in this index.
The recent changes show that the following European countries are placed in the fourth position, meaning that holders of these passports can travel visa-free to 189 countries;
- Finland
- Italy
- Luxembourg
At the same time, the following European countries have been placed in the fifth position in the list of the world’s most powerful passports regarding the number of destinations their holders can access without a visa.
The Henley Passport Index ranks 199 passports worldwide based on the number of destinations their holders can travel to without a visa.
According to the index, at the bottom of the list have been placed countries whose passports have a visa-free and visa-on-arrival score of fewer, including North Korea, Nepal, Somalia, Yemen, Pakistan, Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan.
